Getting Married Lowers Testosterone

thetlab.comAside from going to hell , there’s another reason not to get married. According to a study done by a team of anthropologists from harvard university , married men have a lower level of testosterone than single men. Testosterone is linked to assertiveness , competitiveness , mating , aggression , ect. Tests were conducted to precisely find the variance of testosterone in married men without children , married men with children , and single men. The results showed that the married men with children and married men without children had similar testosterone levels , while single men had significantly increased levels.

Simply put , it makes sense because the married man is too busy taking care of the kids and tending the wife while keeping him from going out drinking and chasing women. There is a lack of drive in the married man , a drive that a healthy bachelor would have. Not to mention the married man does not need to go “get” sex. Single men are more focused on mating while fathers are more focused on parenting their children.

Different societys and countries across the world will have different variances of testosterone levels. A published finding shows that men across the wrold have very different levels of testosterone in their 20’s , but the testosterone becomes approximately the same when they reach 60 years old. Now I’m not advocating not to get married , but if your goal is to raise testosterone then getting married is probably not the answer.
