Testosterone problems from Soy & Over-Masturbation

QUESTION ASKED ONLINE :

I have been having a variety of problems over the last couple 2-years. I just turned 38.

Physical:
Less energy, get tired more easily, harder time maintaining muscle, hair loss on parts of body.

Eyes:
Have developed eye floaters over the last year.

Sexual/Prostate:
Started having soft erections and premature ejaculation problems. This became worse & worse over time. My testicles started to become very tucked up to my body and seem smaller. My penis is smaller. I had periods of prostatitis symptoms, which are gone since I started taking some herbal products (see below). Now my libido is almost completely gone and I rarely have erections.

Things tested for:
-All STD’s (all negative)
-Testosterone & LH tested 4-months ago (both at the very low end of normal range. So of course the Urologist says there is nothing wrong with me, like it’s black & white. I was barely above the minimum values.)
-Scrotal ultrasound (negative)
-Complete Urinalysis (all negative)
-The Urologist said there is nothing wrong with me and that it is probably stress (i.e. He doesn’t know). I have the least stressful job I have ever had in my life, so I know that’s not it.

So…..I think my endocrine is out of balance and hear is what I think may be the causes.

Possible Causes:

1. For the last 5-years, I have been eating tons of Balance Bars and other meal replacement bars (I just stopped). They are loaded with Soy Protein, about 14-grams per bar and I would have 4-6 bars per day as snacks, thinking they are healthy. I now know soy protein is a possible endocrine disruptor, can reduce testosterone values and LH values. I guess this falls under the poor diet category as well, since I wasn’t eating enough vegatables and other good cleansing foods.

2. Aspartame: I used to drink a lot of Diet Coke, but stopped about 1.5 years ago. Maybe there is some permanent damage from that.

3. Excessive exercise: I may have run myself into the ground. I was a compulsive exerciser until all of these problems hit.

4. Over-masturbation: There are a couple of web-sites that claim that over-masturbation can cause a variety of health problems. I found them while looking for causes of testicle pain. But I also had every symptom on the website (eye floaters, hair loss, premature ejaculation, soft erections, low energy, groin/testicle pain & ultimately, impotence). The products on both sites are from Dr.Lin. I thought, “What are the odds that this is a scam. I have every symptoms”. And I did masturbate too much, probably 7-10 times per week.

I started taking some of his products 4-months and immediately my testicles stopped burning, I started getting erections again and I had more energy. However, after I ejaculated, I lost my libido again for about a months. It’s sort of been 2 steps forward and 2 steps back for the last 4 months. Possibly because up until 2 days ago, I was still eating 4-6 bars with soy protein in them every day.

I am going to going to use your web-site to research ways to improve my endocrine balance. Am I on the right track???

ANSWER

Some suggestions:

Get back to eating unpackaged, unrefined, unprocessed foods exclusively.

Lovemaking is a beautiful and natural gift to us. Excessive masturbation, however, maybe depleting your adrenals and reducing vitamins in your body such as zinc.

Excessive exercise not only will…

  • Increase cortisol and stress , which will lower your testotserone and make you store fat (estrogen).
  • Put your body in starvation mode , lowering testosterone.
  • Minimize and kill your muscle gains. Dextremental to testosterone maxing.Do not exercisvely exercise or masturbate excessively. You should get plenty of nutrients. Get your EFA’s , protein. Eat foods from natural sources , do not eat meal replacement bars. Soy is okay in moderation , but do not go overboard. Also , you might want to cut down the cardio as it builds stress and raises cortisol. Stick to lifting heavy weights with intensity and short sessions. Everything you’ve been doing pretty much set you up for your testosterone problem. The first step is re-education and reapplying these habits to your life , it will take time but if you focus you will surely get there.

    1. I am in the same boat. Went throught the B.S. with the regular Dr.’s. Testosterone “normal” but at the very lowest end of normalI have the exact same symptoms: Took Dr. Lin’s products felt better, but havne’t completely healed, and masturbating is still a problem. Seems like it takes a month to build up enough strenght to get an erection. I would demand to see an Endocrinologist. I spoke with MD Hank Wagner in New Hampshire and he was amazed that I hadn’t seen an endorcrinologist. I will go soon. Write me and we will chat and keep each other updated.

I can give you more information if you want.

      Good Luck
